Fixtures built to last
We install FX Luminaire and WAC lighting, and we can tailor the install to a brand you prefer. Whatever the brand, our fixture housings are never plastic. They're cast aluminum or brass, built to stand up to Arizona sun, heat and irrigation overspray. Every system we install is LED, which uses far less power and lasts far longer than older halogen lighting.
A transformer sized by the numbers
The transformer powers the whole system, and getting it right is what makes every light shine evenly. We size each transformer with a formula based on the system's total current draw and the distance of each wire run. That way the last light on the line is as bright as the first, and the transformer isn't overworked.
Lighting with a purpose
Good lighting isn't about lighting everything. It's about lighting the right things:
- Accent lighting. on the key features of your landscape: trees, palms, boulders and water features.
- Architectural lighting. that brings out the lines, stone and texture of your home.
- Path lighting. that keeps walkways and steps safe to use after dark, placed so it lights the ground, not your eyes.

The shortcuts we don't take
- Bad connections. Poor wire connections corrode and fail, and whole sections of lights go dark. We make every connection to last.
- Undersized wire. Wire that's too small for the run loses power along the way, so lights at the end are dim. We size wire to the load and distance.
- Undersized transformers. A transformer that's too small runs hot and shortens the life of the system. Ours are sized by calculation.
- Sub-par fixtures. Cheap plastic or thin-metal fixtures fade, crack and fail within a few seasons. We use cast aluminum or brass.
- Blinding path lights. Lights aimed or placed poorly shine straight into your eyes as you walk. We place and aim every fixture so it lights the path, not your face.
Our warranty
Every lighting system we install carries a 3-year workmanship warranty. Fixtures and transformers are covered by their manufacturers' warranties.

What affects the cost
Lighting is quoted after a site visit, or as part of your landscape design. The main factors are the number and type of fixtures, the fixture brand and finish, transformer size, the length of the wire runs, and whether the lighting goes in with a new landscape or into an existing one.
